Pilatch Card Games

Pair Tie

An example where two players each have a pair of Tens.

In this hand of Tournament Pilatch you have a pair of Tens...

...So does your opponent, who also has an Ace.

Does that matter?

No. Your Ten of Rock smashes your opponent's Ten of Scissors. You win in this case.

However...

Things work differently if that pair of Tens is instead in the community cards.

An example where every player has a pair of Tens, because the pair is in the community cards.

In this other hand of Tournament Pilatch everyone who's still in the hand has a pair of Tens.

Again, an opponent has an Ace.

Does that matter?

Yes. The Ace earns your opponent the pot because this time we use the high card tie-breaker.
